29 APRIL 2013
Jessica Heeringa went to work as
usual at the EXXON station in Norton Shores, near Muskegon MI. Before her shift
would end, she would become the object of an apparent abduction and an on-going
police search. According to sources $15,000 reward is now being offered in case
of missing mom and gas station clerk Jessica Heeringa.
2 MAY 2013
Heeringa's mother took to the
streets to pass out flyers Wednesday. While doing so, she stopped at
two businesses who have helped in the investigation. They gave
police surveillance video of what they believed to be the suspect's
vehicle.
Heeringa's mom is hoping the
surveillance video and police sketch will help bring her daughter home.
Heeringa, 25, went missing late
Friday night while working as an Exxon mobile clerk in Norton Shores, near
Muskegon, Mich.
Police are treating it as a
kidnapping after finding the gas station unlocked and Heeringa's keys and purse
left behind.
Police said they arrested a man in a
silver minivan for questioning Wednesday evening. They have since released him.
Police said he is not a suspect.

Michigan woman’s blood found at scene of
her abduction
Jessica Heeringa is a 25-year-old white
female, 5 foot-1-inces tall, 110 pounds with blonde shoulder-length hair and

(CNN) — Blood found on the scene of a Michigan
kidnapping belonged to the victim, police said Thursday.
Jessica Heeringa, 25, was abducted late last month
from an Exxon station in Norton Shores, where she was working alone, sometime
around 11 p.m., police have said.
Investigators found “suspicious substances” at the
station and turned them in to the state’s crime lab, which identified some of
it as blood. A DNA analysis matched it to Heeringa, the Norton Shores Police
Department said.
The amount of blood found was small, police said.
Authorities notified the family of the findings.

UPDATE (May 8, 2013):
The Task Force has received the results from the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory regarding the suspicious substances collected from outside of the Exxon Mobil station.
The substances have been confirmed as blood. Based on a subsequent DNA analysis, the blood has been determined to be from Jessica Lynn Heeringa. There was only a small amount of blood located. The family has been notified of this information. Additional information regarding the exact location of where the substances were collected will not be provided.
The task force continues to receive tips and members are conducting follow-up investigations as quickly as possible.
